That line led me to believe that Intel was targeting a switched fabric to replace the INTERNAL bus, but I suppose it could extend further than that. It will be interesting to watch...

Intel also seems to be supporting USB and 1394. I wonder if switched fabrics are available for either one? (I doubt it on USB.)
