Morgy, I do think consumer confidence will erode. However you look at it, REAL demand for most things will decline. But that doesn't mean a price drop unless all other things remain equal. All other things won't remain equal. The dollar will continue its slide and, yes, Latin America is one reason. IMO, the dollar will lose its reserve currency status in much of the world.
