NEW IMP MICROPROCESOR SUPERVISORS OFFER 70% LOWER POWER AT 50% LOWER PRICES

The first paragraph of the release states:

SAN JOSE, CA., September 23, 1998 -- IMP, Inc. (Nasdaq: IMPX) today added a power saving Power Management supervisor product family with the announcement of five new low-power Microprocessor Supervisor analog integrated circuits (ICs). The IMP690A, IMP692A, IMP802L/M, and IMP805L are pin-for-pin replacements for the similarly numbered devices from Maxim Integrated Products, with the addition of thermal and short circuit protection while offering 70 percent lower operating power and 50 percent lower list pricing.
