TouchStone Appoints New Director, Engineering
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 1, 1998-- TouchStone
Software Corp. (Nasdaq: TSSW - news) Thursday announced the appointment of James C. Schulte, as the company's new
director of engineering effective immediately.
As director of engineering, Schulte will oversee research and development of new products.
Schulte comes to TouchStone from NetManage where he served as director of engineering. In this role, Schulte was
responsible for development of Microsoft Windows-to-IBM mainframe and AS/400 connectivity products. In Schulte's seven
years at NetManage, he also served as a technical scout for new and emerging technologies and was responsible for product
planning for the evolution of existing products and identification of new product opportunities.
''With his extensive experience in developing software products for PCs, I believe Jim will be able to add insight into
developing and executing new product strategies that will expand TouchStone into new business markets,'' said Kenneth S.

Schulte earned his bachelor of arts degree in mathematics from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1982. Schulte
currently resides in Laguna Niguel with his wife and two children.
