Ed. Lets not beat a dead horse. Qcom is dead. It has sold the right to its technology a million time over, to much better companies. Congratulations to Al Gore and all of the liberals from the Democratic wing, Qcom is a great contributor to the great American welfare system. Qcom has heired half of the northern San Diego, with little or no revenue to show for it. The same companies who are paying Qcom royalty are killing it in competion.

Without all of the vague optimistic anouncements this stock will trade around 10 dollors or less. It seems QCOM spends more money on PR than in R&D.

I think the slow down in their trucking business is imminent, and likely to happen in 97 and this will sever their only profitable operation. If you religiously believe in CDMA invest in companies with better management, who are paying Qualcomm Royalty. I foresee a massive layoff in 97, and a gigantic share holder law suit.

This company would be more profitable it they shut their doors and just collect royalties. Puting the Qcom in the same sentence as Microsoft is an insult to Microsoft (Sorry I had to do it to make a point--with regret and appologies to Microsoft share holders and Bill)
