(NewsTraders) -- Loeb Partners acquired a 5.16% stake in American Materials & Technologies Corp. (AMTK) and holds 231,050 common shares, according to an original Schedule 13D. Loeb Partners disclosed recent purchases of 91,050 shares at prices ranging from $4.49 to $5.53 per share between 7/23/98 and 9/22/98. Loeb Partners holds the shares for investment purposes, and has no extraordinary plans for the company.
