Are you saying I should sell AOL, Amazon, and Yahoo because another hedge fund may get in trouble? Merrill announced their hedge-find exposure tonight and it doesn't seem particularly worrisome to me. In any event a hedge fund is just as likely to be short those issues, and a liquidation would be bullish, no? I'm up since Long Term Capital reorganized.

Today was universally negative in the press. I wouldn't rely on any journalistic commentary today for perspective. Seemed to me like piling-on. CNBC's writers were particularly colorful.

Aren't the numbers of new lows contracting on this decline?
