FIRST DRIVEABLE FUEL CELL INTRODUCED AT PARIS MOTOR SHOW

GM Europe President Mike Burns welcomed members of the media to the Opel stand at the 100th anniversary Paris Motor Show yesterday as he introduced the first driveable fuel cell vehicle, "We are not only working on highly sophisticated future technology, like fuel cells, but also practical solutions, making everyday use of our products more effective and convenient." He adds, "We are also showing how one can 'shrink the world' by means of ergonomically integrating communication systems into cars. Using the Omega MV6 station wagon as a platform, we have a design study that includes elements of the Signum concept car that we showed at last year's Geneva Motor Show." The Paris Motor Show is the top European auto display of the year, alternating every other year with the Frankfurt Auto Show in Germany. It is open to the public Oct. 1-11.
