Bill,
The reason I fail to share your enthusiasm for COST is because the first Price Club store (now Costco) opened in my city around 15 years ago.
I don't believe that TA will tell you where a stock is going, but a chart will certainly tell you where it's been.
Since the middle of 1990, till the middle of 1996, the stock traded between the teens and the 30's. Hardly anything to get excited about.
Then in mid '96, it began climbing, almost in a straight line, and rose to a high of 65 3/4.
The last three days, it's fallen around 12% and closed today at 44 1/2. Looking at the chart, it appears that on July 1,1991 it closed at around $30, so since 1991 the stock is up today about 50%. Not a real good ROI.
Again, Bill, I am not attempting to tell you that the share price will not meet your target of $200, simply why I have some trouble sharing your enthusiasm.
Time will tell.
Have fun, Phil |
