No, this is no longer fun!

I have been reading the different messages on this board regarding
especially the explanations for the way the stock moves. This has
been the most frustrating stock I have ever owned and yet
I just keep hanging onto it.Equally I have felt frustrated
reading the speculation that goes on about mergers, buyouts and
reasons for the stock gradually losing ground. Although I think that
B. Nance is a very reliable person, it is a puzzle to me that if
negotiations supposedly have reached the final stage, that none of
this has leaked out and moved the stock in a different direction.

The other part that I continually find puzzling are the remarks about
someone driving the stock down. I don't completely understand the
reasoning behind this. I'm dumb about these things, I admit. But, if
this is so, then I presume this means it is a company who has stock
already, wants to take over Novell and keep the stock low - so
they're selling stock they already own??? And what's the reason for a major
stockholder to keep it down? For a lower price in a buyout? I don't
follow this.

Further, there is some suggestion about SEC regulations in one message
- meaning there might be something wrong about the activity that is
going on. What particularly is wrong? Could someone in plain English
explain all of this to me, please. Is there someone out there who has
a great deal of experience understanding movements of stock and the
puts and calls and whatever that could give a clearer explanation
about what might be happening. If tax selling is still going on, and
yet there is continuous accumulation then can this largely account
for what's been happening to the stock in the last several weeks?

Thanks for any help and clarification.
