Some thoughts about tax selling:

At the end of December last year I watched several small companies' stocks that I owned at the time take steep dives the last week of the year, presumably for tax related reasons. FSTW was one, MVIS was another. All of them recovered within a few weeks. I did not act at the time but I calculated that if I had added to my positions during those last few days of December I would have had returns of something like 30-60% in a matter of a few weeks.

I suppose if I try that maneuver this year I will be buying into the crash of the decade.(g)
