Longline mining cost vs. Pogo

Ross,

I have know Bob Burban for many years (hence interest in BAM),
he is a no BS person, which is why any one who knows him and has
read the Longline brochure would know that this is the real thing.

The grades being given in BAM brochure are 30g/t but to get level
of gold extracted by Swede mill grades where between 75-200g/t.
I have seen some one of the microscopic photographs of the gold
material which confirms the view expressed in the brochure that
gold is very fine and hence would not be able to be extracted using
simple gravity mill as was previously done.

Given that Pogo is going to require an underground mine (my understanding), while Longline will be an open cut one (coupled with fact that grades may be higher than initial conservative estimate), the cost of mining Longline will be significantly cheaper than for
Pogo.

As you say, if they use simple processing mill then most of the gold
will still be in the tailings.
This was why I was interested in ealier message re: Newmont/Longline
as Newmont apparently have very effecient extraction methods, which
could be used to go through the tailings.
I speculated on the processing of the tailings from the original work by Swede as a quick way of raising capital a while back in another
message group.

If I hear any info on Wando drilling I will let you know. Also the Hunker Dome project is a huge unknown right now. No doubt BAM have lots of irons in the fire at the moment.

Good luck.

Interesting time for Gold at the moment, if price can be sustained over 300 for a couple of days then there could be a rally, as short sellers are forced by buy.
