I shop for groceries at Safeway. I have their loyalty card which is scanned by the bar code scanner as the groceries are going thru. CLCK or any other processor would handle NONE of this processing. I am a shareholder in a company CSI Credit Systems csicredit.com
They market loyalty programs to many companies in Canada. They have signed up Datacard in US datacard.com to offer their ERNEX system to US companies. Best Western Hotels has recently signed with CSI this year. I use a VISA card in Canada which is connected with a system called ADVANTEX which is a loyalty program marketd to restaurants, many of which have CSI terminals to process Debit and Credit cards. Go into these sites and read up on ERNEX.
I read the CLCK thread because it is relevant to CSI. I suggest that perhaps CSI is right now processing more loyalty card transactions than CLCK ever is. I have posted on CSI thread on SI with statements of fact. You and several others on CLCK thread seem to do nothing but post messages about Letters of Intent, Mergers with insiders companies, Processing credit cards for bankrupt banks giving cards to neer do wells and how much revenue and earnings there might be in the future. I could do the same for CSI but I would rather let facts and contracts speak for themselves.
In Canada the banks operate the card processing sites so there is no processing done by private companies. CSI terminals and DATACARD terminals route loyalty card data direct to CSI processing computers and banks handle the actual funds.
