>Ballard as a long term fuel cell supplier soon. Not very soon -- for obvious reasons. Just look at the electric vehicle. Sales and growth have been dismal. In the major industrialized countries, about 3000 or so vehicles are sold per year. Why? 1) Not cost effective. 2) Not convenient. At this point fuel cell powered vehicles are no different. Five or ten years from now things may change. Perhaps the infrastructure to support a large number of such vehicles will be there. For now the solution seems to be hybrid diesal/electric vehicles.
