Papaya : I have just heard Camdessus of the IMF saying that, in order to avert the international financial crisis, he expects that this recent lowering of interest rates by the Fed will be one of many.

Incidentally, I also just heard Bob Rubin saying (also on CNN) that the present financial crisis is the worst in 50 years.

That tells us something about the dollar index, and the gold price, doesn't it?!
