Jerome, there is never an explanation for the earnings estimate changes collected by Zacks. It is data that is widely disseminated (Yahoo posts some of it) and may influence some investors. More importantly, companies are held responsible to meet or exceed these estimates. So, even if the estimates are wrong, the stock will be rewarded or punished for meeting them or not. But you know all that.<g> GM
