Intellicall and NetSpeak Team to Provide Carrier-Grade IP Telephony Service

October 2, 1998 DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE) via NewsEdge
Corporation -- Intellicall, Inc. (NYSE: ICL)
and NetSpeak(R) Corporation (NASDAQ:
NSPK) today announced they have reached a
definitive agreement to integrate NetSpeak's
Voice over IP technology and Intellicall's
N-Genius(TM) public access communications
platform. The integration will provide
N-Genius users increased flexibility to route
international calls, greatly reducing rates for
their customers.

NetSpeak is providing software that
translates from circuit switched to data
packet communication for IP management.
Its carrier-grade service enables the
utilization of public and private
packet-switched networks to bypass local
access and international settlement charges
while providing value-added IP voice and
multimedia services. By transmitting
international calls over a VoIP network,
service providers can save their customers
up to 70 percent over standard rates.

The N-Genius is a state-of-the-art public
access communications system built around
a platform that performs multiple services,
including prepaid PIN, and wireless and
gateway/tandem applications. The platform,
deployed in numerous countries, has
performed well in some of the world's
harshest environments.

"We evaluated several different technologies,
and NetSpeak provides the best solution with
the flexibility to support multiple protocols,"
said John J. McDonald, president and chief
executive officer of Intellicall. " This
agreement will provide those who use the
N-Genius a turnkey service that adds more
efficiency and new revenue avenues for their
business."

NetSpeak provides a complete suite of
reliable, real-time, high performance
multimedia communications systems over
packetized data networks for service
providers, businesses, call centers and
customers. All NetSpeak solutions utilize its
patent-pending virtual circuit-switching
technology to dramatically enhance the
multimedia capabilities of both private and
public IP-based networks.

"This agreement reinforces NetSpeak's
commitment to provide top-of-the-line IP
telephony services for telecommunications
companies around the world," said Robert
Kennedy, president and chief operating
officer of NetSpeak. "The N-Genius
application will give service providers
unprecedented ability to offer their
customers affordable international telephone
service."

NetSpeak Corporation, based in Boca Raton,
Fla., develops, markets, licenses and
supports a suite of intelligent software

video-enabled communications networks, or
