Yep... I've built a set of client side (pc and thin client based) technology in Java that turns posts made to various forums and discussion groups into email alerts. Through a common user interface I can post replies, like email to any number of forums. I'm also continuously hooked to the internet, so while I work, the alerts go off and I can post quite quickly and easily. Takes me minutes to do.. I've also built a computer based trading subsystem that allows me to trade based upon certain rules like price triggers, indice triggers etc,. I'm using this now through the secure socket layer (security layer) through etrade. I will be marketing the software.. if you're interested.
