Paul, Craig Barrett visited in Finland last week to meet Intel's local customers (read Nokia). He said in an interview that,

*Intels main products in 2003 will be IC's and processors in different kinds of mobile products (phones and laptops ??). And networking gears and -programs (?)
*In five years PC processors are just a small part of Intel's products
*Barrett answered "arrogantly" a question regarding low-priced processors. "Look who is making money with them: not AMD". Same arrogance regarding copper-chip.
*He did not see an end to the Moore's Law. "Speech recognition, 3D graphics etc. need ever more powerful processors".

Comment please. Especially point #2.

regards,
tepli
