Yeah, I wasn't referring to that "measly" tax cut that is currently being floated. I'm talking about real tax reform, along the lines of Forbes recommendations for a flat tax. We're way past the stage of AG tinkering around the edges with rate cuts barely enough to make a dent in the yield curve. Rubin and Clinton tell the Japanese they need to slash taxes to get consumer spending going, I guess they think we need to be in as dire straits as Japan before they see the light for the US. bp
