Fed declines comment on rumor of emergency meeting WASHINGTON, Oct 2 (Reuters) - The Federal Reserve on Friday declined to comment on rumors that surfaced in financial markets of a possible emergency meeting of policymakers. ''As a matter of policy, we don't comment on these things,'' Fed spokeswoman Lynn Fox said.
