Last night I couldn't sit still with the impending market situation so I started snooping. I found a number of boards meant to discuss support issues & boy were these guys revealing. On the asnd support board, I latched onto a discussion by technical managers and administrators who install use & live by asend and other comms gear. Most technical folk basically thought the notion of a lu/3com merger was a joke, in fact, the board was talking about the implications of an lu/asnd deal. Another point lots of techies brought up was the fact that lu has been peddling the ascend product for about 2 years---the coversation mentioned a lucent sales rep pushing the ascend product over the livingston stuff & he was puzzled.. .Any thoughts on this kind of behavior? Does anybody out there know if in fact lu has been selling asnd gear??? Inquiring minds would like to know... -Franco:-),
