If the Fed reduces rates so soon after an initial cut I would think the markets will interpret that as confusion/desperation. Also, AG has staked his long-term career as an inflation fighter. I can't see him leading the Fed headlong into rate cuts just to keep the Global markets happy. If indeed they are having an emergency meeting I feel the reasons will be ominous: ? other hedge fund rescue missions?
