Expect more tax loss selling unless some major positive news comes out. I do not think the selling we are seeing is of the tax-loss variety. First, LU has built up handsome profits for most of those invested in it. Those people are doing 'tax-gain' selling. Second, is October 2 just a bit early to be looking for tax losses? Granted, when late December rolls around I will be looking to take a loss on some things but for now it is not even a remote possibility that I would sell at any time prior unless other conditions warrant.
