Both articles by HP - one from a few days ago and one from late 1997 stated that the PA-8500 would have over 140 million transistors - so that was not a mistake.

That kind of density is hard to believe, I know.

But apparently, Intel has the fab capability to pull this off.

We are entering a new era of chip design complexity - and Intel is in the lead.
