Also: I've yet to see the formaldehyde angle raised in this thread. From what I've read, many current resins and adhesives contain formaldehyde, a substance prevalent in such consumer items as particle board, paneling, waferboard, plywood, and furniture.

In 1987, OSHA classified formaldehyde as a potentially carcinogenic material.

I'm sure you know where I'm going with this. Lenox's lignin product, which as you've noted is biologically benign, seems to be a safe alternative to formaldehyde-based resins. The formaldehyde-based resins, alarmingly, are frequently used in the manufacture of home and office furniture.
