Gary,

I respect your knowledge of MM's and the quotation system.

Question, could not the same MM's that were scalping the investor with wide bid and ask spreads, simply be unloading the stock they had asked for all day at higher bid price at the close?

My thought is that they bought the stock for their own inventory at a low ask price, and then at the end of the day they pass all this low priced inventory off to some unsuspecting fool at the higher bid

Does that make sense? Because if I could buy it all day at the ask with a spread like they enjoy and dump it a the end of the day at the bid, I sure would!

TIA!
