JB usually I find your logic frustratingly compelling.Not this time. I do not think your analogy holds water.Murder is a specific type of killing.Substitute killing instead of murder.We do recognize that killing in self defense is different than murder.Why do I say lying is more a general term like killing than a specific term like murder? Assume that if you told a lie it would save a life as compared to a lie that would cause a life to be lost[under oath or not].Both are lies Should we treat them the same?
