In the early seventies, befor computers ran companies functions, People did. Piles of paper, and hands to move em to the next stack, box, drawer, cabinet. Now, it is disks and tape or CD even storage devices, and time is still the main commodity. The insurance company that I worked for then, the Continental, owned other companies like Dinners Club and an obscure one called INSCO- a Time Study Company. All Insurance Company pens, said; " Ideas Wanted For a Better Way- We'll Pay!" I have one kicking around. I think I will send it to Mike McKay. The concept is as valid now as back then. I actually had such a time studyt watcher sit beside me and ask questions durring the day. So, what happened, I have no clue. But, back then- I didn't need to know in the first year of working as a paper pusher. Chuca P.S.- I think this is on Topic. |
