haha. alas, my limit sell didn't get hit. But I'm curious about the Bear Stearns "buy" recommendation. Target of $160, based on a 70 p/e on 2003 earnings. Yup. A new record. Analysts are now reaching out 5 years to justify price targets that could easily be hit next week.

It would be pathetic, except that it's obvious to me that Bear Sterns needed to juice the stock to get some big money clients out at a better price. They take care of their clients. Gotta give 'em credit, the "upgrade" sure halted YHOO fall in it's tracks. The funny thing about the BS "research report" was that it's centerpiece was based on YHOO expected to "beat expectations". Yawn. Like this is some new idea, coming out 2 days prior to YHOO reporting earnings? Yawwn....obviously some BS clients were very disappointed the YHOO fell 16 pts three days prior to reporting earnings, and they missed the good prices. So, BS is very proactive, and juiced the stock. Since the stock has jumped over 100% in the last month, one would have to ask why BS used up the whole month doing their "research", maintaining a "hold" rating while the stock leaped 100% to record highs and record valuations?

Seems to me that BS is way late in upgrading, as usual for WS ANALysts.
