Knowledge, yes, credibility is dependent on who I seek it from. I don't need it from you or from most people I know. My point has been that you can't really sniff out how the deal is tainted until you have been on the other side and have been part of how it all works. I can talk to a company, learn the share structure (also study the form 10), look at the DTC sheet and 90% of the time I can tell you who is screwing the deal. Guess what? half the time it's the insiders screwing you the other half it's the MM trading with the convertable buyers who are "preselling" their position. I have found most BB stocks to have paper floating all over the place and in many cases the lack of experience of the management of these companies feeds fuel to the fire to the MM's and others who love to take these deals lower... A quick example of what can happen... Say you were an insider and was holding a restricted stock cert. You wanted to borrow money against that paper. but no conventional funding source will do it for you. But guess what? There are PLENTY of people who will do it, but the day you do it, they are using your cert to short your deal offshore...... Nature of the beast, and the poor insider has absolutley no idea this happens..... There are many tricks of the trade, and there really aren't any new ones... this is an old game and actually a very small world where many of these people know of one another or in some cases have a "talking relationship"
