Howard This can be a draw back if you try to run a another task while receiving data in the back ground. Well, that certainly would be a drawback for a real time trading machine! Together with the possibilities for IRQ conflicts (with the internal) it appears an external would be worth the extra money. Thank you for this information. As a side issue I just bought a 3Com U.S. Robotics 56K Universal Serial Bus Sorry to hear that.... looks like USB purchases are a little early. Be interesting to see if that modems performance improves or not when you get the drivers though. At least by having to run off com now you'll have a good direct comparison.
