Robin, TJ, Joseph, et all:
Hi, in case nobody noticed, I haven't been posting very much lately. Anyway, I'm back!
Now, about ACTL, and the other FPGA companies (ALTR and XLNX):
I'm really shocked at how ACTL is getting close to making new highs, while ALTR and XLNX have been murdered in the last few weeks. I always thought that ALTR was the leader of this group, and that it would always outperform...guess I was wrong.
I usually follow an industry-like model: If one company of an industry is doing well, then the others should be doing good as well, provided that there is no one company which totally dominates (in such a case, this model doesn't work. A good example of this is INTC vs. AMD and CYRX). With ACTL, ALTR, and XLNX, theoretically, the model should work. Thus, it is surprising that ACTL and XLNX are forcasting a solid 1996, while ALTR was more cautious (of course, ALTR isn't predicting anything severe, but they did say that orders have been a little slower lately).
What do you guys think? |
