Tapes by Tripp Are Distributed by House Panel nytimes.com
A long piece which I won't summarize, both sides covered, not that it will matter for those who consider any source to the left of the WSJ editorial page suspect. Here's a bit near end, though, ironic in the NYT fashion.
In her own grand jury testimony, Mrs. Tripp denied being a secret agent for Starr and other Republican critics of the President. "My idea was never to manufacture evidence," she asserted.
"In fact, I had never even thought about the independent counsel in my wildest dreams. My idea was I'm going to arm myself with records so when I'm in a position to speak under oath, I can do so truthfully."
For her part, Ms. Lewinsky often sounds self-absorbed and frustrated. "I think people call me 'the stalker,' " she lamented. "I think that's what they say. Oh my God, that gets me so mad. I hate that," she said, as Ms. Tripp quietly taped the tale of the President and the intern.
Linda Trip never thought about the independent counsel, she was just arming herself to speak under oath "truthfully". This sounds like one of those logic riddles to me, about the one guy never lies, and the other never tells the truth.
