They won't lose any edge on the seats....there will be more demand than supply for this product, for several years....but may lose the first to market advantage on the ITS...not ITTR, et al.

Autoliv is pushing the sidewall curtain, and Mercedes and Volvo are
strong endorsements for the perceived safety advantages of that product. Consumers are not going to investigate the niceties of distinction between the ITS and the sidewall curtain. I mean, Autoliv really did a job on SMU management, the effects of which will continue to be felt. Autoliv saw management weakness and indecision, and took advantage of it.....to chill the ITS and buy time to introduce its own competing "technology".

It is hard not to be disappointed in these guys......in an environment of general disappointment. One cannot give them the benefit of the doubt, when they have so reduced the doubt. mcd
