Judy: you are both intelligent and perceptive. Many thanks. I shall mull over these strategies. I think I made a mistake this week when I bought naked puts and then sold them when I had a tidy profit. I was advised to sell a put at a lower strike price, but did not, because I did not fully undertsnad the strategy. I now think that might have been an error.
