William,

Having recently taken a look at the distribution of analysts opinions on Amazon biz.yahoo.com, I see that perhaps I was a bit unfair in my earlier post when I lumped analysts together and implied they were all inexperienced bulls who had simply extrapolated high initial growth rates into future and had not considered elements of sustainability. You disagreed forcing me to reflect and gather evidence. I think you would agree that David Readerman is a veteran tech analyst who does not belong to the herd. In fact, he is just the type of analyst who tends to lead the herd (of investors and fellow analysts) rather than follow it. Message 5657049
It is notable that he has not been bullish on Amazon since the beginning of July, which happens to be when Amazon topped out.

I know that you respect David's stature and opinions and wonder if you would care to defend your bullish stance on Amazon against the opinion of this veteran analyst.

Maybe this dialog can yet generate some insight and clarity, instead of mere smoke.
