Clarence - If you go internal I purchased the Diamond 56k model a couple months ago, also after studying reviews, and it has worked perfectly. (I think it was $99 at CompuUSA and almost certainly could be mail ordered cheaper...I was in a bit of a hurry.) It uses flex technology, as does my ISP, and all connections have been at 46k since plugging it in, which I don't think is bad. Dave
