I agree with most of that Ice. All I can say for the other side is, if you're a cash-strapped company like TPI, your alternatives are:

1. Borrow from a bank...not until there are receivables to collateralize or an equity infusion.

2. Sell stock to public via an equity offering...not yet, not until business is more developed. This can lead to short-selling by related and unrelated parties.

3. Sell stock to public via other mechanisms, i.e., convertible death spirals, Reg D's, etc., the terms of which may lead to short-selling by a number of related and unrelated parties.

Are there options I've missed?
I mean the net-net is that a cash-strapped developoment-stage corporation like TPI is able to float stock.
