So in this situation, do you tell them about birth control or do you just let them make their choice without any knowledge of birth control? If they make the wrong choice about sex, and they have no birth control, they can get pregnant. But if you regulate the rules around sex by explaining birth control, a least you can avoid pregnancy.

Steve, this, IMO is a 1990's politically correct answer. I disagree with you. You are just as well as saying, "I realize you are gonna do what you want, so go ahead and get on birth control so you won't get pregnant." This is a Copout!!!

The only answer is short and sweet. NO. Don't do it. Don't let him or her do it to you. NO. Fornication is wrong. It is not ok with birth control, it is not ok with abortion(the next alternative??) It is not ok period!!!!!!

Tell them there are many teens who are NOT doing it. Don't ever give them the same impression as the "world" gives. Don't you see when you do, you lose??

Jesus did not say "go and get birth control" He says "go and SIN NO MORE".Giving in is NEVER the right answer.

And believe me when you say " I don't want you having sex, but just in case get on birth control" you have lost already. Why?? Because you have told her/him what your standards are, and you just lowered them
