DCF,
I don't you think we are as far away on this issue as you seem to think. I obviously would tell my children a resounding NO!
But look at the reality of the situation. We are sinners, they are sinners, we all are sinners! And just because we say no, and God says no, that does not mean that they are not going to do it. So presenting birth control in the general education process is not wrong. Its education that they could use in the future, like much we learn in school and in the bible.
So many things we learn might not apply today, but tomorrow! And this type of education can be given, with of course the resounding NO to unwed sex!
But if the unwed teenager chooses to sin after they here are and God's resounding NO, they have guidelines which will help them not compound their sin in pregnancy or disease.
But back to the original point, all I was trying to say to Mark was by God regulating slavery, that does not he means he condones it!
