Steve,

You cant make an assumption by saying that God is limiting mans mistakes by putting rules and regulations around slavery, and not give
Norris the same room to make assumptions on the word of Koran.

by holding Norris to the strictest adherence on the words and meaning of the koran, you have to hold interpretatin of the bible to the same strict adherence.

Therefore, if you hold to the same rules of interpretation, God is laying the framework for acceptable behavior as it relates to slavery, and sexual relations with slaves.

If you want to interpret the meaning in a different way, you have to allow Norris to interpret passages of the Koran with the same freedom of interpretation.

I am certainly not taking one side or the other, just pointing out that everyone seems to give their beiefs more wigle room than they allow the next guy.....

FWIW,

mark
