Can't agree more with that statement. True fundamentals will drive stocks from now on, the speculation of the past will be few and far between, investors are cautious. We could see some more tax loss selling till year end, but, hopefully the numbers NN will come out with in the next 2 quarters will trully set the market on notice.
On another note, after thoroughly reading the year end financials report, I have some questions.
1. 80% ownership of NN is with CDS & Co. 25 esplanade box 1038, station a, Toronto, ontario M5E 1W5. Nanny states they don't know the registered owners, I find this hard to believe? If I were the CEO, I'd like to know everything about my majority stakeholder, come forward with this information, or make an effort to find out, please.
2. Insiders and employees hold about 17% of the shares outstanding, which leaves a float of 3% public. At 11.5 million shares outstanding, 3% is not much liquidity available. Although i'm not in favour of diluting our public % further, this lack of liquidity does not bode well for larger institutional investors, unless private placements are done.
3. I've spoken with investors relations in regards to consignment sales vs actual sales. I have suggested a monthly monitor via a graph/report on the website. Growth of consignment sales vs actual retention from those sales is the number I want to see regularly, if you like this idea or have any others of your own, please email brad maclean.
4. As I am disappointed in NN share performance, I agree it is overall market driven only, NN has the goods, network, recognition and people to make NN a real company to grow with. Opportunity is knocking at this price, I am buying what I can also. 1999 will be the year Nanny gets its just reward.
IMHO, due diligence is always warranted.
