Talking about patents El Matedor, Tires were invented many moons ago and patented, but every year new developements and technology comes out and the company that has that new idea patents that new idea and technology, So there might be several patents for tires and different kinds of tires. Just like soft drinks like Coke and Pepsi, Mountain Dew ect, all soft drinks with different patents. Each product different in thier own way. The patent makes your idea different than the other ideas and products. Most people usually submit a patent research to find out if some one has already patented that idea or product. But once you get a patent # and an approval, its a done deal. Nobody can ever copy your patent, if they do, you can sue them for lots of money, thats why they have this whole patent process.
