Why would anyone worry about "overburden"? Look at the "problem"
that SUF had with "overburden" on the M-1 pipe in S.A. It was three times richer than the main body and was full of chunkers.
That was not much of a "problem" as far as I can see.
Kimberlite is a hard rock but when exposed to swampy conditions
that one might expect in Northern Alberta it turns to slimy mud and
you don't have to crush it. The only thing to worry about is the
quantity, size and quality of the diamonds. If the diamonds are
there at all the overburden will likely be a very sweet treat.
