lorne, This whole thing about Central Banks investing in hedge funds makes about as much sense as their mindless leasing of gold for 1% interest. Unless some of these hedge funds are trading partners with the Central Banks. Maybe this is why Greenspan is against disclosure of hedge fund activity. Also the Federal Reserve operates in secrecy and could well be an investor in LTCM or some other hedge fund.

So far no magic bullet from G-7 meeting. I plan to E-mail my congressman this weekend to strongly oppose any refunding of the IMF and suggest others on this thread to do likewise. This nonsense needs to stop.
