Larry,

Very perceptive of you. I was the post that mentioned the 64%.
And because a lot of shorts are buying higher positions while they
cover lower, this percentage will not dissipate nearly as quickly
as one might perceive, but will accomplish the same price acceleration
effect on a more prolonged basis. The conditions are ripe for a short
massacure and the shorts themselves are constributing to this by buying in at higher positions in hopes of a fall and thus driving the price up further yet. Kind of self defeating I would say.
