I started to reject religion in the third grade. I heard that this guy Santa was make believe and wondered why the adults made up such a story. I then reasoned that the god story was probably made up too, probably to make people be good, just like the Santa story. As I grew older I saw that the adults didn't really believe the Santa story (most of them), but they still believed the god story. I wondered why. I am now 51. I still wonder why. Del
