Have you been keeping stats on the % of those stocks recommended by OT that you decided were trade worthy? How about the % of good trades that OT has recommended and you eventually traded?

No, I'm not keeping any more detailed stats. I test a strategy by paper trading it (actually I use the trading contest at marketplayer.com) and if it makes money, I use it. I've had several months of 20% plus returns in the contest.

I hated statistics in school and don't like them any more now.. I was hoping you'd leave judgement out of this..

Me too. <g>

My theory on the best way to develop a purely mechanically system is to combine use of these tools. Say, take all OT buys for a day, and filter them through some other system, like one of the systems on the other TA threads, then trade only those that pass both systems. Like GILD this past week. I first saw it in an OT scan, then a few days later it showed up in a BTT scan.
