I remember when I first joined this thread Albert was proudly proclaiming the K6 as a superior performer to the Pentium Pro, yet there was not a single public benchmark for the K6 in existence. AMD's next product is always preceded by enormous hype and they never live up to expectations. The K5 didn't, the K6 didn't and it's a good bet the K7 won't either. That won't stop the hype. These guys need to believe in something. EP
